Scrap metal is a necessary component in the crafting of the weapon repair kit. Fallout 3 / Fallout: New Vegas miscellaneous item Male Hence, it is - usually - in the player's best interest to give Isaac Bent Tin Cans instead of Scrap Metal. There is also some around Gibson Scrapyard and Nellis AFB as well. but if it is that isaac/contreras quest i recommend going the dialoge course,as 100 scrap will take a while and its better used for weapon repair kits. In Fallout: New Vegas, it is also a useful alternative to a higher Repair skill to make repairs.
